REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026 POSTHARVEST TECHNOLOGY COMPETITION

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Postharvest Technology Competition. The competition aims to showcase research projects, technological solutions, and innovative ideas in postharvest processing and preservation, while providing a platform for participants to exchange knowledge and experience and develop practical solutions that enhance the value of agricultural produce and food products, improve production efficiency, and promote environmental sustainability.

The competition is open to staff members, lecturers, and students currently working or studying at HUIT. Participants may enter individually or in teams of up to five members, and each participant may submit more than one entry.

The competition consists of two categories:

- Category A – Technological Projects and Solutions in Food Processing: research projects and products related to new food-processing technologies and production processes; postharvest quality-control technologies; technologies and methods for extending storage life during transportation; and procedures for assessing food quality after harvest and processing.

- Category B – Technological Projects and Solutions in Preservation: research on new packaging and preservation materials; effective methods and technologies for agricultural-product preservation; solutions to minimize postharvest losses; development of new products from agricultural materials; and innovative, reusable, and environmentally friendly packaging solutions.

The competition will be conducted through four stages: Preliminary Round, Online Poster Voting, Semi-final Round, and Final Round. Selected entries will be presented and evaluated by the Judging Committee, with outstanding projects from each category advancing to the Final Round.

Application requirements

The competition dossier includes:

- A completed application form;

- A brief description of the proposed idea, model, product, or technological process;

- A poster in PNG format, portrait orientation, 800 × 1300 px, with a maximum file size of 20 MB;

- Supporting images, if available;

- An introductory video clip, if available, in MP4, MOV, or MPEG format, with a 16:9 aspect ratio, a minimum resolution of 720p, a maximum duration of 3 minutes, and a maximum file size of 300 MB.

Submission deadline

Applications must be submitted by 4:30 PM on August 25, 2026.

Hard-copy documents should be submitted to the Office of Science and Technology (Room C.101), while electronic files should be sent to namdnh@huit.edu.vn.
