CHEMICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

1.  Admission Requirements

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet the university's admission requirements or entrance examination standards.

Applicants holding an associate degree in the same or a related field may have their prior academic results and acquired knowledge and skills evaluated for course exemption when enrolling in this programme.

Students currently enrolled in another undergraduate programme at the University who meet the requirements set out in the Academic Regulations may have courses accumulated in their first study programme evaluated for recognition to determine course exemptions when pursuing a second major.

Applicants holding a Bachelor’s degree in another field may have their prior academic results and acquired knowledge and skills recognized for course exemption when pursuing a second Bachelor’s degree under this programme.

Admission Methods

Method 1: Based on the 2026 National High School Graduation Exam results.

Method 2: Based on High School academic results.

Method 3: Based on the 2026 Competency Assessment Test results from Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

Method 4: Direct Admission: In accordance with the current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).

Method 5: Based on the 2026 Specialized Competency Assessment Test results from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, combined with High School academic results according to the subject combination required for each major.

2. Career Prospects

   Bachelor’s degree holders can work as:

Technicians in factories and laboratories

Analysts, quality assurance personnel, and product development staff

Personnel in industrial and quality management

Researchers at research institutes

Sales personnel for chemicals, equipment, and technology transfer

Lecturers, researchers, and lab technicians at universities, colleges, and vocational schools

  Engineer’s degree holders include all positions mentioned for bachelor’s holders, and additionally can work as:

Technology engineers, project management engineers, and production managers in manufacturing facilities, factories, and enterprises.

Specialists in project management, technology management, and plant operations.

3.  Further Study Opportunities

After completing the undergraduate program in Chemical Engineering Technology and being awarded the Bachelor's and Engineer's degrees, learners are eligible to pursue Master's and Doctoral degrees at domestic and international universities and research institutes.

When enrolling in the Master's program in the Faculty of Chemical Technology at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, Engineer’s degree holders may be granted equivalency for 22 to 30 credits.
